In high school I won two Scholastic Gold Key Portfolio Awards. After grade school I continued my education at Rosary Hill College in New York and Paire School of Art in Conneticut. For the next ten years I worked in retail advertising.

I then started a family. We became heavily involved in 4-H; raising and showing goats, horses, and rabbits. The small farm lifestyle has greatly influenced my artwork.
